how we use storytelling principles to journal:
unpack the moment that changed you forever. the event that killed your inner child or just made you raise your guard. here, we uncover what exactly contributed to that shift, and how it's shaped your life today.
someone said, change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change. you're here for that reason. and throughout this chapter, you will never forget it, as the prompts expose your truth. the moment you forget or suppress it, you convince yourself that your life now is better than it actually is.
another reason you may be here is to better understand yourself, your passion, or the patterns that hold you back. here, you use your first two acts to find out just that.
there's a framework that goes: thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions, and actions lead to results. you had the thought, that's why you're here. we've unpacked your truth and feelings, now you'll use the prompts to turn your self-understanding into self-growth.
using all you've learned, you will create the elevated version of yourself. the person who is greater than their greatest struggle. the person who knows who they are, loves themselves, and exudes alignment.

Hello all! I am Amiya Kaylyn Gary, a filmmaker, content creator, and child of God. I am originally from Tampa, FL, and currently attend the culture’s university, Clark Atlanta University.
Though I’m a screenwriter by trade, in times of depression, writing a story in which I give myself the happy ending I wasn’t allotted here on Earth is very grounding, healing, and inspiring for me. In creating the characters, the story, and their behavior toward their desire, it provides deep introspection for me. Moreover through writing and telling my story, I continue to grow immensely.
I hope that throughout this journal, you’re able to experience the same.
